As Senator Achonu welcomes Asawala to the Labour Party (LP), Umunumo Agog

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Okigwe South House of Representatives candidate from the previous term has left the party and joined the Labour Party (LP). On April 18, 2024, he formally announced this in his hometown of Umunumo.

During a news conference, Hon. Mike Asswalam (Jr.) said he had sought advice from visionaries before joining the Labour Party, and he had discovered serenity, happiness, creativity, and productivity there.

He went on to say that his objective is to bring about the type of advancements seen in the West, particularly in the areas of technology, education, healthcare delivery, and youth empowerment.

Even before he decided to join the party, Hon. Mike Asawalam Jr. commended Distinguished Senator Achonu for being a good leader and for his fatherly assistance in many areas.

He insisted that his constituents’ wellbeing comes first and that most of them support his desire to join the Labour Party.

Asawalam was cordially welcomed as a full member of the Labour Party in Nigeria by distinguished Senator Athan Achonu, who also counseled him to follow the party’s lead.

He complimented Asawalam on his audacious move and added that the Labour Party is full with really clever and driven individuals.

Hon. Mike Asawalam Jr. was welcomed to the Labour Party (LP) in Umunumo by Hon. Comrade Ebere Agaka, the party’s chairman. He introduced himself as a party member and said he was happy to see someone with his kind among them.

He characterized him as a visionary leader who understands the mindset of his constituents, an advocate for economic growth, and a guy who provides free medical care to every community inside his district.

Comrade Jude Edoziem, the chairman of the integrity group, stated his satisfaction that Hon. Asawalam had joined the Labour Party and said that the integrity group as a whole had decided to leave their party in order to support him. He claims that Asawalam is a capable and open leader whose principles are unwavering.
